Ceremony Held at Shah Cheragh to Mourn Martyrdom Anniversary of Imam Baqer (AS)
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A ceremony was held at Shah Cheragh in Shiraz, southof Iran, on Sunday to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad Baqer (AS), the 5th Shia Imam.
Shah Cheragh is a funerary monument and mosque housing the tomb of the brothers Ahmad and Muhammad, sons of Imam Musa Kadhim (AS), the 7th Shia Imam.
The two took refuge in the city during the Abbasid persecution of Shia Muslims.
